Madison Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash
An 18-year-old Madison man was killed yesterday in a motorcycle accident in Switzerland County.
Nathaniel Pennington, Jr., 709 W. Third St., died of injuries in the crash.
According to Indiana State Police, Pennington was riding a motorcycle south on Fairview Road about 10 miles north of Vevay when the accident occurred at 4:43 p.m.
Polic said as Pennington went into a left-hand curve, the motorcycle went off the road for unknown reasons, went into a ditch, flipped and landed on top of Pennington.
A physician with StatFlight helicopter pronounced Pennington dead at the scene. The accident was investigated by the Switzerland County Sheriff's office with assistance from Indiana State Police from the Versailles Post.

Nathanial Penningotn, Jr., 18, 709 W. Third St., died Monday, April 13, of injuries received in a motorcycle accident.
He was formerly employed at Madison Chrome Plating.
Survivors include his mother: Nancy Madden Pennington, Madison; one daughter, Jennifer of Madison; and three brothers, Oakley and Arlin Pennington, both of Madison, and Clarence Pennington of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nathanial Pennington, Sr.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Lytle-Gans-Andrew Funeral Home in Madison. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
