She was born in Moriches and eventually her parents decided to move to the Poospatuck Indian Reservation because her father was a blood right member of the Poospatuck. She had twelve brothers and sisters all of whom predeceased her.
ABBIE was united with and married the late Reverend George Langhorn on May 27, 1925.
She resided on the Reservation for more than 100 years. She worked hard for seventy years or more doing domestic work. She would have continued working but eventually the "keys to her car had to be hidden." She was considered to be one of the oldest living blood-right members on record residing on the Poospatuck Reservation. She was very proud of her ancestry and being a blood-right member of the Unkechaug Nation.
