MAURINE BRISENDINE, 93, of Memphis, homemaker, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East after a stroke. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Memorial Park. She was a member of Central Christian Church. Mrs. Brisendine, the widow of Mark H. Brisendine, also leaves two daughters, Jean B. Coltharp and Mrs. Mark Hammond, both of Memphis; two sisters, Frances Morris and Geneva Fairris, both of Paris, Tenn.; two brothers, Conway Valentine and Gaylon Valentine, both of Puryear, Tenn., three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
note: Maurine's mother was Lillie (Farmer) Valentine, but in some records, her step-mother, Blanch Francis (Hendricks) Valentine was listed as her mother.
