Hamilton was killed during the Chapter #11 order.
He & a neighbor were moving everything like the order stated. They had lost some cattle. They went to find them, which they did over the State Line.
Hamilton & his neighbor had taken a girl & boy about 5 - 6 years old w/them. The wagon w/the 2 children returned back home the next day. The kids told that the men were killed in KS by the Bushwackers. Their bodies were brought back to MO & buried in a small cemetery w/some rocks as markers. This happen about 2 miles south of Drexel.
