Odella Marie Wimberly Fowler, 92, of Conway went to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 20, 2012 with her family at her side. She was born Wednesday, January 7, 1920 in Bailey Chapel Community in the Greenbrier area to the late Toil and Ethel Ester Smith Bailey. She was one of six children. Marie was a member of Central Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband, Winfred Fowler; four children, Eddie Wimberly of Conway, Sherry Lackie of Conway, Gary (Ginger) Wimberly of Mabelvale and Keith (Joyce) Wimberly of Conway; three stepsons, Jim (MaryAnna) Fowler of Brownsville, Texas, Fred (Annadell) Fowler of Little Rock and Kevin (Sundae) Fowler of Conway; two sisters, Pat Paladino and Cecilia (Howard "Bear") Chandler; eleven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one infant daughter, three granddaughters, one great-granddaughter, a brother, and three sisters.

Marie had a large family and they looked forward to having their family fish frys. They would visit, enjoy the food, play washers, making memories and taking pictures. Before eating, all would form a circle for the blessing, and get a count of those in attendance (which would average 60). Family and friends expected to see Grandma's arms wide open for a hug and kiss when they arrived and departed.

After God and her family...her home and yard gave her so much pleasure, she treasured watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up playing in the big backyard. She was so proud of the rock beds, the large trees she planted as seedlings, her rose bushes and flowers. She carefully planned her landscape so she would have Azaleas blooming in the spring, bulbs to provide continued beauty through out the spring, summer and fall, year after year she worked hard at having a beautiful yard.

The family would like to express thanks to the Odyssey Hospice group and those employees of Heritage Living Center who have shown her their love.

Family and friends will gather for visitation and to celebrate her life on Friday, December 21, 2012, 5:00-7:00pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home (501)327-7727. Funeral service will be 10:00am, Saturday, December 22, 2012 in the funeral home chapel with Brother Don Chandler officiating. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
