Bluffton - Fred Marquart, 80, Route 1, Bluffton , died at 7:52 p.m. Sunday at the Bluffton Community Hospital, Bluffton.
He was born May 24, 1899, in Orange Township, Hancock County, to William and Margaret (Spaeth) Marquart. He married Mabel Wilch on Feb 28, 1930, and she survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Marilyn) Brecht, Leipsic; two brothers, George of Jenera; Albert of Bluffton; a sister, Mrs. Harley (Freida) VonStein, Rawson; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Marquart was a retired farmer. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Jenera.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Edward Pinchoff officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, near Arlington.
Visitation is 7-9-p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Basinger Funeral Home, Bluffton. The body will lie in state at the church from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials may be made to the church.
