Harry E. Williams, 69, of Roanoke County, son of Ruth Loring and James Thomas Williams, died Monday, May 16, 1994. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech and was an Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Williams was a life member of the Air Force Association where he was Past President of the Roanoke Chapter. He was a member of Melrose Lodge #139 A.F. & A.M., Kazim Temple of the Shrine, Scottish Rite Bodies. Mr. Williams was also a life member of the P-51 Mustang Pilots Association and a member of the P-47 Thunderbolt Association. He was a retired Compliance Officer with the U.S. Department of Labor in Roanoke. Surviving is his wife, Fay Earman Williams; his children, (all graduates of Andrew Lewis High School in Salem), Carol W. Polster and Billy R. Williams, both of Richmond, Betty W. Davis of Marietta, Ga., Robert W. Williams of Villa Rica, Ga., Mary W. Pollitt of Orlando, Fla.; seven grandchildren; two brothers, James T. Williams Jr. of Pinellas Park, Fla. and Billy L. Williams of Annandale, Va. Services will be at Oakey's North Chapel 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. George Pearson will officiate. Interment will be in the Linville United Church of Christ Cemetery, Harrisonburg at 2 p.m. Friday. The family will receive friends at Oakey's North Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
