Worked at radio station WDVA for a time before moving to NC. Lived many years in Colfax, NC and worked at the Winston-Salem Journal newspaper. Amateur radio call sign K4MOB. He was editor for years of the regional ham publication, The Southeastern Repeater Association Journal. Father of 3 sons, Wayne, Jr., Greg & Chris.
