The funeral of Mrs. Annie Battle, 1055 Carrollton Street, who died at her home Wednesday, September 6, was held from the Springfield Baptist Church, Sunday, September 10, with the Rev. Mr. Costen officiating. The deceased was born in North Carolina but resided here for the past 24 years. Two daughters, Mrs. Letha Morning and Mrs. Lulu Hill of Leavenworth, KS, survive. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
