Ada Trimboli Albano, age 86, became God's newest angel on Monday night, July 18, 2011, when she passed away peacefully after living a wonderful life.
The wife of the late Alfonso Albano was born February 4, 1925 in Calabria , Italy , the youngest daughter of the late Domenico and Rosa Incognito Trimboli. She came to the United States in 1947, the same year she met her husband, who also migrated to this country from Italy in 1947. They met in New York City , were married in 1950, and moved to Norwalk , which Ada called home for the next 61 years, the first 36 of them with her husband. Two Italian immigrants who took different paths here, became U.S. citizens, and together realized the American Dream.
Mrs. Albano was a devoted wife, beloved mother and a proud grandmother and great grandmother who was loved and admired by all who knew her. She loved to cook, crochet, go out to dinner, and watch ‘All My Children.' She also loved to laugh and was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor and the gift to make others laugh. She often did that at Honey Hill Care Center , where she spent the last four and a half years of her life and where she was a favorite among residents and staff alike. She never missed a recreation activity or an appointment at the in-house hair salon. And at 86, she was still sharp as a tack.
Ada Albano leaves behind to cherish her wonderful memory a son, George Albano and his wife, Diane, of Norwalk , a daughter, Anna Restuccia of Norwalk , four grandchildren, Traci Restuccia, Bryon Restuccia, AJ Albano and Georgie Albano, and three great grandchildren.
