Beattyville - Harold Palmer, 46, Cincinnati, a boiler operator, died Fridayy at the Deaconess Hosptial in Cincinnati after a long illness.


He was a native of Lee County and a World War II veteran.


Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Inez Palmer; two sons, Daniel and Michael Palmer, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Janice Cassner, Hillsboro, Ohio, and Mrs. Mary Jo Keller and Miss Gloria Palmer, Cincinnati; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Seldon Palmer, Sr., Tallega; four brothers, Bill, Frank, Albert and Seldon Palmer Jr., Cincinnati; four sisters, Mrs. Katherine Brewer, Mrs. Elaine Shelton, Mrs. Nancy Metzner and Mrs. Mary Kelly, Cincinnati, and five grandchildren.


Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Newnam Funeral Home by the Rev. Clifford Richards. Burial will be in the Palmer Cemetery at Tallega. The body is at the funeral home.
