Margaret Law Christensen, the daughter of Thomas J. and Eliza A. Rice Law, was born May 27, 1897 in Audubon County, Iowa, and died Nov. 29, 1977 at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon at the age of 80 years, 6 months and 2 days.

She was a graduate of Audubon High School and attended Des Moines College in Des Moines, IA. She taught in the Audubon County Schools for several years.

On June 18, 1921 Margaret was united in marriage to John T. Christensen and to this union a daughter was born. They farmed in Audubon County and retired into Audubon. John T. Christensen died on 19 August 1961 and Margaret moved to Des Moines to be near her daughter in 1962.

In Des Moines, Margaret was a member of the Windsor Presbyterian Church, Acanthus Chapter, O.E.S., and active in the Senior Singers. She returned to Audubon to live at the Friendship Home a few months before she passed away.

She was preceded in death by her husband , parents and 7 brothers.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. William (Lucille) Van Note of Urbandale, IA; three grandchildren; and one brother, Melville Law of Audubon, IA.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. L. Hume Ward, pastor of the Windsor Presbyterian Church on Thursday, December 1, 1977 at the McFadden Funeral Home in Audubon. Internment is in the Arlington Heights Cemetery in Audubon. Pallbearers were : Keith Grabill. Eugene Hansen, George Raub, Dale Root, Dallas Root, and Ronald Wellendorf.
