Richard Vertner Gage (Dick)was the prettiest baby I ever saw.He was a 5th generation Gage of Port Gibson ,Ms. He was named after his paternal grandfather JV Vertner Gage who died the year before he was born. His parents Howell Nicholson Nick Gage and Elizabeth Betty Payne already had 2 older children Hal & Libba Gage Very Sadly he was killed as a teenager. It was a great shock to his family. The Presbyterian church was packed by young people at his funeral. He was truly loved.Rest in peace dear cousin.
