Dorothy V. Laughery, 82, of Littleton, Colo., a former Monterey resident, died Friday in Littleton. Born Feb. 24, 1915, in Oakland, she lived in Monterey for 63 years.
Mrs. Laughery was a co-founder of the Monterey Peninsula Dance Club with her husband, Harold "Nick" Laughery. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
She is survived by a daughter, Diane Ricketts of Highland Ranch, Colo.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Memorial services were held in Highlands Ranch, Colo. The Chapel Hill Mortuary in Littleton was in charge of arrangements. The family suggests that any memorial contributions be sent to Porter Care Hospice, 5020 E. Arapahoe Road, Littleton, Col 80122.
