Mrs. Antonia James Harris died Thursday, Jan. 20, 1994, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 79, a native of Livingston Parish and a resident of Walker.

Survived by husband, Melton Harris, Walker; four sons, Richard, Donald "DeDe," Leon and Raymond "Fred" Harris, all of Walker; six sisters, Lena Achord, Emma Dupuy and Zadie James, all of Walker, Ella Chaney, Denham Springs, Edna Burgess and Clara Mae Vicknair, both of Baton Rouge; a brother, Alex James, Livingston; six grandchildren, Roger, Lee, Barry, Lorrie, Philip and Kendra Harris; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Matthew "Matt" and Emmie Harris James; a daughter, Reta Clark; a son, Melton Harris Jr.; two brothers, Matt and Frank James; and a granddaughter, Kathy Harris.
