Mr. Devlin, who would have been 77 years of age on Christmas day, was born in Jay, New York. Engaged in farming, he lived at that place until 18 years prior to his death, when he went to Lake Placid to make his home with his children. He had been ill three months.
Surviving were four sons, Mark of Jay, John, Vernon and Hurley of Lake Placid; three daughters, Miss Mary B. Devlin of Hempstead, Long Island; Miss Kathleen Devlin and Mrs. William E. Hovey of Lake Placid.
