BURWELL -- Rita Ellen (Cecetka) Hruza, 83, of Burwell died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2012, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Burwell. There will also be a service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home in Omaha. Burial will be in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha. The Revs. Tom Ryan and Mark Maresh will officiate. Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell and Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home in Omaha are in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hruza was born April 17, 1929, in Denver to Wenceslaus and Cecilia (Osborne) Adamek.
She married Robert J. Cecetka on Aug. 7, 1948, in Omaha. He died on Dec. 25, 1992.
She married Joseph Hruza on Dec. 31, 1997.
Survivors of the immediate family include her husband, Joe Hruza of Burwell; 10 children, Kathleen and Richard Elsinger of Omaha, Rich and Claudia Cecetka of Ord, Joan Thomas of Omaha, Thomas Cecetka of Burwell, Geri Nisely of Marshalltown, Iowa, Ed Cecetka of Springfield, Mo., Elaine Cecetka-Wood of Livingston, Texas, Mary Jo Cecetka of Burwell, James Cecetka of Anita, Iowa, and Ruth Cecetka of Lincoln; 15 grandchildren; four stepchildren, Dan and Tammy Hruza of Burwell, Wayne and Christi Hruza of Ord, Jean and Frank Johns of Hemingford and Nancy and Keith Andersen of Adams; a brother, Jerome Adamek of Ericson; and two sisters, Claire Marley of Holliston, Mass. and Cecilia Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla.
