Richard was born to W. F. And Cecelia Adamek. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1949. He entered the United States Army in 1955 and served until 1957 with the Nike Missile Detachment.
Richard loved good people, humor and music and he was a good baseball player.
Richard is a nephew to Anton Adamek, Stanley and Mary Petska and cousin to Minnie Sevenker and Lyle and Rose Sevenker.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Sue Adamek; granddaughter, Ashley; great-grandson, Logan Michael of Durham, NC; three sisters, Rita, Cecile, Claire; a brother, Jerome “Jerry” Adamek; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy.
