Dennis Ayers, 55, of Yorkville, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2005 at the Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on June 21, 1949 in Mendota, IL, the son of Loren and Marian (Bauer) Ayers.
Dennis was united in marriage on February 4, 1968 in Princeton, IL to the former Cheryl Schafer, and they spent 36 happy years together. He was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Aurora, IL. Mr. Ayers was employed by Country Companies Insurance, and later as a Finance Manager at several car dealerships. Dennis grew up on a farm and in later years formed the 5T Cattle Corporation where he raised a herd of Black Angus cows and calves along with his family, which he enjoyed thoroughly. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother-in-law and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Ayers of Yorkville, IL; his children, Todd Ayers of Newark, IL, Tim (Marcy) Ayers of Leland, IL, Tamie (Rick) Garza of Bartlett, IL, Tricia (Michael) Zenni of Evansville, IN and Trent (Liz) Ayers of North Aurora, IL; his grandchildren, Justin and Taylor Ayers of Oswego, IL, Luke Ayers of North Aurora, IL, Gabrielle Garza of Bartlett, IL, Elizabeth and Michael Zenni of Evansville, IN and Chris and Erin Hawz of Leland, IL; his great grandson, Mason Gonzalez of Leland, IL; and his parents, Loren and Marian Ayers of La Moille, IL.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, January 10, 2005 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 27 S. Edgelawn Drive, in Aurora, IL with Pastor Patricia Geiseman officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Yorkville, IL.
