Mrs. Geo. Stine Dies at Age Of Eighty-One Years
Mrs. Priscilla Stine, 81, 803 south Maple Street, and a member of a well known Mount Carmel family, died last night at 8:40 o'clock in the Ashland State Hospital from the effects of a cerebral hemorrhage. Mrs. Stine was stricken last Friday and on New Year's Day, her condition was complicated when pneumonia set in. She was taken to the hospital the next day and at Thursday noon her condition changed for the worse.
Mrs. Stine was born on May 17, 1880, in Tower City, spent the greater part of her life in this city. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Gleaners Sunday School Class, and in former years had taken an active part in the work of church organizations. Her husband, George who had been a mine boss at the Alaska Colliery died eighteen years ago.
Surviving are five sons and two daughters: Fred W., pastor of First Methodist Church, of Sharon, Conn.; John W., of Mount Carmel; Harry E., of Washington DC; Theodore, of Trenton, NJ.; Ira H., of Mount Carmel; Dorothy, wife of L.A. Reedy, of Watsontown; Ruth, wife of Harold Davis, of Essington, Pa. There are also eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother, Andrew Haak, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Kehler, both of Mount Carmel.
The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon from the Rothermel Funeral Home, south Market Street. Services will be held in the Rothermel Funeral Home, at two o'clock in charge of the Rev. Wayne North, pastor of First Methodist Church, and burial will be made in the Mount Carmel Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the Rothermel Home, Monday evening.

Funeral services for Mrs. Priscilla Stine, widow of George Stine, of Mount Carmel, will be held Tuesday afternoon at Mount Carmel. Mrs. Stine died in the Ash-land Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage, with which she was stricken late in December. On New Year's Day, pneumonia developed which necessitated her removal to the hospital.
Mrs. Stine was born 81 years ago in Tower City. She was a resident of Mount Carmel for a number of years, her late husband having been a mine boss at the Alaska Colliery.
