She was born in Corpus Cristy, Texas, living most of her life in Rogers, Ark. She was the daughter of the late Fred Cox Vannoy and Neva R. Vannoy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Fain.
She was a member of the Church of Christ of Lake Butler, and Military Order of the Purple Heart.
She is survived two daughters, Phillis Fain Stolzoff (Terry) Chula Vista, Calif., and Carolann Fain of Rogers, Ark.; her son, James P. Fain (Susan) Kapaa HW; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sisters, Darlene Ward of Texas, Winona Manire of Texas, and Shirley Wider of Lake Butler.
Memorial services will be held Monday morning at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler with Bro. Scott Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
