Calallen - Darlene Vannoy Ward, 92, of Calallen, passed away on April 28, 2022. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 3, 1929 to Fred C. and Neva Vannoy.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Norman "Gene" Ward; her daughter, Priscilla Edlin; her brother, Kenneth Vannoy; her sister, Maxine Fain; and her parents Fred C. and Neva Vannoy.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children Linda (Don) Anderson, Denise (Bill) White, Russell (Becky) Ward, and Randall (Trish) Ward; her eleven grandchildren, Shawn and Steven Edlin, Shelly Jennings, DJ Anderson, Donna Williamson, Blaize and Holly Ward, Kristin Garcia, Tamara Pratt, Corey Ward and Kaitlyn Bowden; eighteen great-grandchildren; her sisters, Winona Manire and Shirley Wilder; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 10:00AM to 1:00PM at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 1:00PM at Sawyer-George Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
