Robert Cleveland "Bob" Logan
1892-1950
Robert Cleveland "Bob" Logan, was the son of James Franklin "Frank" and Mary Harrison "Mollie" Oliver Logan, born near Smith Center, Smith County, Kansas. His family moved to Thomas County, Kansas and settled at Mingo, where he grew to manhood. Bob began working for the railroad in Colby, originally as a "runner", and later as the yard master. He moved to Chadron, Nebraska, where he became Yard Master at the Chadron rail yard. He died, in a coal dust explosion, on his wedding anniversary. He was survived by his wife Sophia (Sophie) Logan, their children, as well as his brothers, John "Jack" Logan, Marion Francis Logan, and sisters, Jessie Gaye Logan Parrott, her husband J. Parrott & daughter, Fayette "Faye" Logan & her family, Margaret Nunley Logan Dean & her husband Frank Dean. As well as his children, and many nieces and nephews.
