Johney Sims, Jr., passed away on May 5, 2007 after a lengthy illness at the age of 70. He is survived by his wife, Pearlie Mae Sims and seven children: Carlos Sims (Sharon), Ronald Lewis, Alcine Caldwell (Mildred) predeceased him; Curtis Caldwell (Cherline), Larry Caldwell, Annette Jackson, Kelvin Lewis (Gwen) and Keith Lewis (Beverly); after linking with Pearlie in matrimony, he acquired more children: Phillip Gardner (Lenora), Brenda Johnson (Jeffery), Herman Harris, Michael Harris (Yvette) and Gwen Lewis; one sister, Lizzie Williams (Roger) of Atlanta, GA; aunts: Mamie Lou Lowe of Atlanta, GA and Flora Tindal; 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Viewing will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Vision Life Church International, 8973 Lem Turner Road, Jacksonville, Florida. Homegoing services will be Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Vision Life Church International, J. Marcellus Williams, Pastor - Kelvin Lewis, his son, Senior Pastor.
