Gary L. Young, age 62 of Ashland, OH., passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Med-Central in Mansfield, OH. On September 15, 1950 in Ashland, OH., Mr. Young was born to Herbert and Gloria (Cypher) Young. He had been a resident of Ashland all of his life. Mr. Young formerly worked at F.E. Myers Co. and served in the US Air Force.
On October 25, 1974 Mr. Young married Joyce Carpenter who preceded him in death October 28, 2012. He is survived by one son: Nathan (Stacy) Young of Ashland; one daughter: Michelle (Wes) Metek of Ashland; two step-daughters: Cathy (Dan) Selders of Rootstown, OH. and Sarah (Frank) Stelzel of Connecticut; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; one brother, Colin (Kay) Young of Wooster; two sisters: Reta (Bill) Hickok of Ashland and Cheryl (Gary) Hetsler of Ashland. Mr. Young was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Terry Young; two sisters: Juanita and Linda Young.
There will be a graveside service 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Ashland Co. Memorial Park Mausoleum with Pastor Brad Ingram officiating.
