Actor. Born Jarrette Talmadge Van Noy in Oklahoma, he was a full blooded Native American Cherokee Indian. He started as a youngster with Buffalo Bill and the Irwin Brothers, performing in the Wild West Shows of Oklahoma. He starred with Mona Darkfeather in the movie "The New Medicine Man" (1914) and also appeared in western films with actor Tom Mix in the 1920s. During the 1930s and early 1940s, he toured the United States and the world in Vaudeville. In his later years, he gave educational lectures on the life and habits of the American Indians in public and private schools.
