Hailvina Brooks is the daughter of Chief Hailstorm Van Noy of the Cherokee. Chief Hailstorm, who traveled throughout Europe on "wild west" theatrical tours, taught his daughters the traditions of Native American bead working. Hailvina's creations include belt buckles, bolo ties, necklaces, hair ornaments and earrings, fashioned from beads and porcupine quills.
