Harry Elijah Dehart, 70, of Parker RD 1, died at 11:15 a.m. yesterday in his home, after four months illness. Born Sept 2, 1900, in Salem Township, Clarion Co., he was the son of John Wesley and Mary Elizabeth Yingling Dehart.
He was a member of the VFW Post 7073 of Parker.
Surviving are his wife, Lula Belle Bartley Dehart, whom he married Jan 9, 1932; four sons, Harry Richard of Parker RD 1, Thomas Leroy of New Castle RD 4, David James of Parker and Vernon Jerry of Oil City; three brothers, Clarence B. of Callery, and Howard M. and Archie M., both of Emlenton RD 3; a sister Mrs. Addison (Mary Ann) Reedy of Saltsburg; and nine grandchildren. A brother and a sister are deceased.
DEHART-- Friends of Harry Elijah Dehart, who died Tuesday, June 29, 1971, will be received at the Hawk Funeral Home, Sligo, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday and Thursday, Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday from the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul A. Hetrick, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Sandy Hollow, officiating. Burial will be in West Freedom Cemetery.
