KNOX - Mrs. Mildred R. Rowe, 66, of Knox RD 2, wife of Laird Rowe, died Sunday
afternoon in the Oil City Hospital following a short illness. She was born June
4, 1904 in Clarion County, the daughter of John and Mary Yingling DeHart. Mrs.
Rowe had lived her entire life in the Knox area. On November 8, 1923, she
married Laird Rowe. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Knox RD 2.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Russell
(Eileen) Wetzel and Mrs. Ben (Evelyn) Myers, both of Knox RD 2; Mrs. Harry
(Sarah) Ganoe of Union City, Mrs. Ronald (Marlys) McHenry of Knox RD 1 and Mrs.
Jack (Sandra) Monath of Knox RD; two sons, Carl C. Rowe of Knox RD 2 and William
L. Rowe of Reynoldsville; one sister, Mrs. Addison Reedy of Saltsburg; four
brothers, Clarence DeHart of Callery, Harry DeHart of Parker, Howard DeHart of
Turkey City and Archie DeHart of Emlenton; 19 grandchildren, four
great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. One daughter, Mary, and
one brother, LeRoy, preceded her in death.
Removal was made to the Roy P. Stuart Funeral Home, Knox, where friends may call
after 7 p.m and where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m Wednesday with
Rev. Lewis R. Fox, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment
will be in St. Paul Union Cemetery.
