Cynthia Osborn was the daughter of Charles and Hannah (Swain) Osborn. She was born into a Quaker family, but does not appear to have stayed with Friends after her marriage. She married 31 Dec 1840 in Wayne Co., IN, Abraham R. Sigerfoos, for which she was disowned in 1842 by Springfield Friends Meeting, Wayne Co., IN. By 1850 she and her husband had relocated to Cass Co., MI. She was the mother of at least four children: Sarah E., Albert W., Cordelia, and Crayton M.
