James "Ollie " Damron, 91, of Hugo, Okla., died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, in Hugo.

He was born on Aug. 15, 1913, in Crosbyton, Texas, to James Henry and Edna Marie Cash Damron. He married Alta Mae "Jackie" Hicks on Dec. 24, 1933, in Sudan, Texas. He came to Clovis in 1950 from House. He was chief of police in Clovis in the 1950s and a farmer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and president of the men's bible class

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and six sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie James Damron (and wife, Fran) of Sawyer, Okla., and Larry Don Damron (Karen) of Clovis; three sisters; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pastor David Swann will officiate the services.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Muffley Funeral Home.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
