Benjamin Bennett, aged 82 years, 8 months and 4 days. He was married to Josephine Hill about 56 years ago. To this union were born 8 children. Wife and one child has preceded him to the tomb. He professed faith in Christ about five years ago, lived a faithful, earnest, careful and patient christian. His suffering for the past few months were severe and testing but he was ever patient and trustful. He was a good neighbor and a friend to all in every way; the poor, the sick, the needy, always found a willing helper. We shall miss thim but we shall meet him again some glad day. He leaves to mourn their loss, Mrs. Martha Geho of Lock No. 3, Pa., Mrs. Quint Tompson of Pa., Mrs. Joanna Miller of Tipton, Iowa, G. W. Bennett of Londinsville, Ohio, A. W. Bennett, Agalleney, Pa., D. V. Bennett of Tribble, W. Va., W. C. Bennett of Capehart, W. Va.; two brothers, William of Ripley and Dock of Letart; one sister, Mrs. Mason Casto of Ripley. There are 18 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren besides a host of other relatives and friends. he was laid to rest January 5, at Mt. Zion.

Benjamin Bennett the son of Joseph Bennett and Martha Parsons, married 21 April 1863 in Mason Co., West Virginia, USA, to Josephine Hill the daughter of Laban Hill and Rebecca Woodriff. Benjamin and Josephine had seven children;

Dudley Vail Bennett.
