CAYCE - Graveside services for Alice Crosby Harter, 73, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Celestial Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
Mrs. Harter, widow of Roscoe M. Harter Sr., died Thursday, Sept. 24, 1998. Born in Hampton, she was a daughter of the late Shelly and Marion Groom Crosby. Formerly of Hampton, she had been a local resident for over 50 years. She was a member of State Street Baptist Church and the Cayce Eastern Star. She was retired from Recco Tape and Lable Company.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Murray and Nydia Harter of Cayce; sisters, Mary Ann Priester of Florence, Bridie Fleck of Houston, Emma Gass of Houston, Veda Bennett of Panama City, Fla., Louise McRae of Tampa, Fla.; brother, Leon Crosby of Hampton; grandchildren, Michelle, Trey and Matthew Harter.
