Mrs. Ella Mahoney the beloved wife of Thomas Mahoney died at her home Tuesday July 2, 1912, of bright's disease. She was born at Graitot, Wis., and was united in marriage at Gratiot to T.J. Mahoney Oct. 28, 1903.
Three children were born, Margaret, Clarence and James Arthur, the latter an infant preceded his mother to the grave Sept. 14, 1910.
Deceased has been in failing health for some time and her death eased her suffering so patiently borne. Her girlhood, womanhood and motherhood days were spent in Gratiot and were most happy.
She was naturally a women of retiring and modest disposition and when ill health came up on her she remained patient and kept her trouble and sufferings to herself and enjoyed the privacy and comfort of her own private home. In early life her Christian parents taught her to love God and her church. She was baptized, received first communion, confirmation and married in St. Joseph old church and buried from St. Joseph new church.
She spent two weeks in St. Francis hospital at Freeport. While under treatment at the hospital everything possible was done but her condition was very grave and all hope was abandoned and she was taken home to spend the last few days as best she could.
