Shullsburg- Rosalie M. Roelli, age 79, died on Tuesday, January 24, 1995, at the Lafayette County Manor. She was born on May 12, 1915, in Highland, Wisconsin. Her parents were the late Peter J. and Anna M. (Wolfe) Weist. She was married to Walter Roelli on August 19, 1941, in Highland, Wisconsin. She attended Platteville Teachers College and taught school in Kingsley, Glennville, and Rowe Rural School, then later assisted Walter in cheesemaking, wrapping cheese, and was the bookkeeper at the Roelli Cheese Store. Rosalia was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Walter; three sons, David (Kathy) Roelli, Darlington, Paul (Patricia) Roelli, Shullsburg, Gary Roelli, Shullsburg; a daughter, Diane (Mark) Millard, Pewaukee, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Carl, Leo and John; and two sisters, Freida and Catherine.
Mass of Resurrection will be at 11:30 am on Friday, January 27, 1995, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington, Wisconsin, with Father Tom Coyle officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 until 9 pm on Thursday, January 26, 1995, at the Steil Camacho Funeral Home, Darlington, Wisconsin, where a rosary will be held at 8 pm.
