Popular Young Lady Of Waseca Community Called At Pine City Miss Clara Bauman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Bauman, of this city, died at the Pokegama sanitarium near Pine City, where she had been a patient since May 27, Saturday morning at about eight o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Bauman and their son-in-law, E. W. Tollin of Dodge Center, motored to Pine City Saturday and the remains were brought here Saturday evening. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the home, and at two o'clock from St. John's Lutheran church, Rev. George H. Vollmer officiated. Interment was made in Woodville cemetery. The pall bearers were all cousins of the deceased, namely: Frederick Bartel, of Minneapolis; Henry Schultz, of New Richland; John Schultz, of Wilton; Leonard Bauman of Woodville, Carl Bauman of this city and Arthur Kroeger of Otisco. Clara Bauman was born in Otisco township on October 20, 1909, and grew to womanhood there. She attended the Waldorf high school one year and the remaining three years she made her home with her sister and attended the high school at Lanesboro. After completing her high school course she took the normal training course at New Richland. While teaching in district 44, known as the Franklin Papke district, she was taken ill a year ago last Christmas and underwent an operation for the removal of a tumor at Rochester. She returned and resumed her teaching duties but did not seem to be able to regain her strength and was unable to complete the term. Her kindly disposition and pleasing personality won her many friends and all were grieved to learn of her untimely death. Besides her parents she is survived by three sisters and four brothers: Mrs. A. J. Anderson, of this city; Mrs. E. W. Tollin of Dodge Center; Mrs. John Dierks, of Woodville township; Henry of Wilton township, Arthur of Stacyville, Iowa; George of Otisco township and Clarence at home. Among those from a distance who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Bartel and son, Frederick and daughter, Helen and Mrs. Louie Schultz, of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Whitlock, of Belle Plaine; Misses Rebecca and Olive and Amos Boyus and Gordon Eiden, of Lanesboro; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bauman and children, of Stacyville, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. E. W.
