HEART FAILURE CAUSES DEATH
Joseph Haselberger, a resident of Wood County for about forty years, passed away at the home of his step-brother, Frank Haselberger near Hewitt early Friday morning, death being due to heart trouble. Deceased had been an invalid since childhood and seven years ago was stricken with blindness. During the recent hot spell he became quite ill and on Thursday evening seemed to suffer a stroke, losing consciousness. The end arrived at about five o'clock. The funeral was held from St. Michael's Catholic church at Hewitt Monday morning.
Mr. Haselberger was born in Bavaria in 1859 and came to America with his parents in 1881. They landed at Philadelphia and remained in Pennsylvania seven years, after which they came to Wisconsin and settled on the farm where Frank Haselberger now resides. The stepmother passed away in 1910 and the father in 1922, leaving the invalid in the care of his stepbrother. Two other step-brothers also survive, George and F. X. Haselberger, the three being prominent farmers in the Hewitt district. A sister and a brother of the deceased are thought to be living in Bavaria, although no word has been received from them for some time.
