Mrs. Elizabeth Lincoln Wade, 83, widow of the Rev. C.U. Wade, former pastor of the High Street Methodist Church, died at her home, 304 Greenwood Avenue, yesterday morning after an extended illness. She was the mother of Methodist Bishop R.J. Wade of Detroit.

A native of Knightstown, she came to Muncie from Bluffton 50 years ago. She was married to the Rev. Mr. Wade in 1893. A member of the High Street Methodist Church, Mrs. Wade was a member of various women's organizations within the church. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Monday Afternoon Club.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary E. Wade, teacher at Central High School, and Mrs. Josephine Froyd, teacher at Jefferson School; two sons, Bishop Wade and Will H. Wade of Denver; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The only grandchild residing in Muncie is Mrs. Robert Bartholomew, 710 University Avenue.

Funeral services will be conducted at the High Street Church at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon with Dr. A. Wesley Pugh, Dr. B. M. Bechdolt, superintendent of the Muncie district of the Methodist Church, Dr. Freeland A. Hall, and Dr. William B. Freeland officiating.

The body will lie in state at the church on hour preceding services. Friends may call at the Meeks Mortuary after 3 o'clock this afternoon.
