Again the hand of death hath plucked from us another old resident. Mrs. Margaret Morris died at her home three miles northeast of this village last Wednesday morning after a short illness. She was born in Caran County, Ireland in 1799 and was married to Jas. Morris in 1830. They came to this country in 1853 and settled at the old home where she died at the advanced age of 89 years.
She was the mother of eleven children, three of whom survive her and are left to mourn her loss, namely Mrs. James McGinn and Mrs. E. Quinn of this place and Mr. R.E. Morris of Black Hawk, Colo., also a number of grandchildren.
The funeral took place last Friday from St. Matthews church in this village and the remains were followed to there last resting place by a large concourse of relatives and friends.
