Mrs. Addie Akridge, 91, of the Roachville community in Green County, Campbellsville, Rt. 5, daughter of the late Mr. John Brown Osborne and Mrs. Sarah Jane Elmore Osborne, was born in Green County, March 26, 1887. She died at 3:20 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 28, at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg where she had been a patient for the past nine days. She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Green River Memorial Baptist Church. She united in marriage to Mr. Paul Akridge, April 6, 1910. He preceded her in death Dec. 17, 1970. To this union one daughter and three sons were born: Mrs. Beatrice Montgomery and Mr. Marvin Akridge, both of Campbellsville, Rt. 5., Mr. Chester Akridge of Campbellsville Rt. 6, and Mr. William H. Akridge of Louisville. Besides her children, she is survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and one nephew. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 30, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Chapel in Campbellsville by Rev. Don Gowin. Burial was in Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Montgomery, Leslie Akridge, Clyde Akridge, Alfred Akridge, David Akridge, and Allen Akridge.
