Lora Mae George,96, Little Rock died Friday, January 18,2013 in Little Rock. The daughter of Samuel E. McCleskey and Mollie Ellen Herring, she was born January 31,1916 in Belleville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Birta. She enjoyed playing the piano, quilting and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hayden George; her parents; four sisters, Ernestine Suggs, Lois Allen, Hermoyne Suggs, Leona Heffington; two brothers, Wayne McCleskey and Lawton McCleskey.
Survivors include three children, Pam George of North Little Rock, Jacky George(Jannette) El Reno,OK, Frankie George, Birt; five grandchildren, Janan Fletcher(Mike), Anita Moss(Mike)Duncan,OK.,Steve George, Ola, Melissa George, Ola, Jennifer George, Birta; nine great-grandchildren; eight-great-great-grandchildren; sister, Elwanda Williams, Little Rock; two special nieces, Nell Spears and Phyliss Dickey; numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral was January 21,2013 at the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Birta. Pastor Ricky Kimzey will officiate.
