Miss Blanche Henderson, 79, of Lynchburg, died Monday morning at the Happy Hours Nursing Home, Wilmington, where she had resided for the past four years.
She was born in Highland County on Nov. 16, 1885, the daughter of Charles Henderson and Emma Mercer Henderson. She had never married. She had resided in the Lynchburg area all her life.
Services were held Wednesday at 2 P.M., at the Davis Funeral Home in Lynchburg, with Rev. Bruce Beavers officiating and burial following in Lynchburg Cemetery.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Georgia Carpenter, Middletown, and a brother-in-law, E. T. Shaffer, Lynchburg.
