Born October 28, 1920, in Mechanicsburg, he was a son of the late Carroll A. and Caroline (Stouffer) Singiser.
He retired from the former Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot after 38 years of service and then worked part-time at Ritter's Hardware for fifteen years.
He was a former Trustee and served as assistant Sunday School Superintendent at Grace United Methodist Church, Mechanicsburg where he also received an award for service beyond the call of duty.
Gerald was a past Worshipful Master and Treasurer of Eureka West Shore Lodge #302 F&AM; member of the Hall Association and Harrisburg Consistory.
Gerald received the Meritorious Civil Service Award and was recognized for voting in over fifty elections with perfect attendance.
He also volunteered at Meals on Wheels and New Hope Ministries.
Surviving is his wife of 73 years Bette McLane Singiser, two sons, Dr. Ranny L. Singiser and wife Andrea and Steven C. Singiser; a daughter Patricia E. Singiser all of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren and a brother Dr. Robert E. Singiser of Gurnee, IL.
A sister Isabelle Kilmore preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg with his pastor the Rev. Mark F. Reisinger officiating.
There will be a visitation from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday with Masonic Services at 10:45 a.m.
Inurnment will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
