Irene I. Bryant
Mrs. Irene Irvin Bryant, 82, of Gainesville, died Thursday, January 17, 2002, at BJC Medical Center, Commerce, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Bryant was born in Hall County on February 28, 1919. She was a daughter of the late Jesse Elbert and Mandy Clements Irvin.
Mrs. Bryant was a homemaker and was a member of Pond Fork Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd C. "Shorty" Bryant, a sister, Ruby Beatty, and a brother, Horace Irvin.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 20, in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, with the Rev. Gary Davis officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Gainesville.
Survivors include three sisters, Estelle Abernathy and Eva Voyles, both of Jefferson, and Agnes Davis, Maysville; and one brother, Elbert Irvin, Marietta.
Evans Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
