HAGE, HELEN S., 85, of Orlando, passed away Friday, February 10, 2006. Born March 7, 1920 in Jacksonville, FL, Helen moved to Central Florida in 1940. She was a grocery store owner and also a life-long member of the St. James Catholic Church in Orlando. Helen was also a member of the Syrian Lebanese American Club. Helen was a kind and loving woman who dedicated her life to her family. She was an accomplished seamstress who especially loved to design and sew children's clothing for her granddaughters. She was also well known for her Syrian cooking and her home was always a safe place for all her family members to gather. She was the strength behind her husband, John Hage, and assisted in his many fundraising activities in the Greater Orlando area. She is survived by: son, Thomas Hage of Orlando; daughters, Katherine Weiss of Atlanta, GA, Carolyn Adams of Slidell, LA, Alberta Brown of Orlando, FL, Jo Ann Hampson of Exeter, NH; brother, Charles Skaff of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Mary Rice of Jacksonville, FL, Louise Buschkotter, of Jacksonville, FL; eighteen grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on February 16, 2006 from 6-7PM with a Wake service starting at 7PM at Dobbs Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held February 17, 2006 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church at 11AM. Father Tom Barrett will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital in Memphis, TN, www.stjude.org/donate, 1-800- 822-6344 or 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
