Funeral services for Minnie Mondrick Kotwig Krum, who died on Wednesday in a local nursing home. Will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Jim Kotara will officiate, with interment in the City Cemetery under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home.
Rosary services will be held on Thursday night at 7:30 and on Friday night at 6:30 at Buffington Chapel.
Mrs. Krum was 101 years old at the time of her death.
She was first married to John Kotwig in 1905. The had six sons, Walter and Joe Julius Kotwig, both of Gonzales, Otto Kotwig of Alice, Edwin Zavadil of Pasadena, Anton Zavadil of Gonzales and a John Kotwig, now deceased; three daughters, Rose Skaggs of San Marcos, Emma Ernst of West and Lillie Davison, deceased.
John Kotwig died 1921, and in 1925 she married Hugo John Krum. To this union were born two sons, Wesley Krum of Portland, Or. and Harry Krum, now deceased; three daughters,Dorothy (Dollie) Droemer of Albuquerque, N.M., Bonnie Castillo of Rosenberg and Carol Lagasse of Newhall, Ca. Mr. Krum preceded her in death in 1945.
