She was the daughter of Elijah W. Brazeel (1829-1880) and Nancy Dennis Andrews (1830-1907) and the sister to my great grandmother, Carrie Francis Brazeel. Both her parents were born in TN.
Mary had the following siblings: Ann, Frances Kesie, William D., Militia, Carrie Francis, Sallie W., Epsey Jane, John Jefferson and Ottie Leroy.
I have often seen sister Epsey's first name spelled Hepsey but both her MO death certificate (#10889) and her gravestone clearly state that her name was EPSEY J. BRAZIEL.
Mary married Theodore Franklin "Frank" Turner (Find A Grave #39729843) in Feb of 1878 in MO. Frank was born in 1848 in IL, the son of John & Lucy Hinkle Turner. He died in 1913 and is buried at Maple Park Cemetery at Aurora, MO. Mary was his second wife (no information on first wife except that she was born in England). Mary and Frank had 3 children: Orlin Ray, Lucy Jane and Frank Theodore.
