Kerry Francis Braziel was my great grandmother.
Kerry was born in Roane Co, TN in 1856 and died in MO in 1891.
She was the daughter of Elijah W. Braziel and Nancy Dennis Andrews. Both Elijah and Nancy were born in TN and had married there on 26 Sep 1849.
Kerry married John Adolphis "Dolly" Woodard on Aug 22, 1872 in McDonald Co, MO. She was his second wife.
My grandmother, Delpha Arminda "Minnie" Woodard (married to Robert Pearl Williams) was their daughter. Kerry died when my grandmother was quite young (age 13) and she then helped raise her siblings.
Minnie's siblings: John Marion (1874-1966), George Lesley (1881-1968), Joshua Henry (1881-1965), Dolphis Walker (1886-1961), William A. (1889-Unknown) and Ancil Otis (1888-1922).
My mother, Eula May (daughter of Robert & Minnie) did not of course remember her grandmother except to tell me that her surname was "Braziel". She did however remember her grandfather, "Dolly" Woodard quite well. He did not pass away until my mother was 16 years old.
