On Nov. 24, 1887, she was married to Silas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Buss, also pioneers of that section. They went housekeeping on a farm in the town of Kendall, where they resided until 1915, when they retired to their present home one mile south of Darlington. The death of Mrs. Buss was very sudden and unexpected. She seemed in her usual health up to the hour of her decrease, which occurred early Jan. 23, 1925, at the age of 57 years, 11 months and 16 days.
She is survived by her husband and their six children: Edward and Harry, LeMars, Iowa, William, Kendall, Ann, Laura and Alvin, at home. Six grandchildren and two brothers, John and Robert Ruskell of Belmont.
Funeral services wee held at the Methodist church in Darlington. Interment was made in Union Grove cemetery.
