Marguerite was born on Oct. 20, 1911, in Rock Island, a daughter of Charles W. and Frieda Meyer Barnett. She married Harry Roman on July 31, 1970, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death in 2000.
Marguerite worked for Servus Rubber Company, Rock Island, where she retired after 46 years on Jan. 4, 1974. She was a great cook, a friend to all, and made the best caramel brownies east of the Mississippi!
Those left to honor her memory include her sister, Clara B. Fisher, Rock Island; nieces, Beth (Gary) Bryant, Davenport; Kathleen Lake, Rock Island; and Mary Ann Barnett, Milan; and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frederick and Charles Barnett; sister, Kathryn B. Wagner; and her nephew, Richard W. Barnett.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Hope Creek Care Center and Passages Hospice for the marvelous care she received.
